  • Men

Men can sometimes think that they can 'do life' on their own. However, we all need to be supported in one way or another and at various times of our life. HBC Men's Ministry exists to help coordinate ministering to the spiritual, emotional, mental, social and practical needs of men within HBC.

The primary gathering of men within HBC and the wider community is Shed Night.  It is here we share a BBQ, a few softies, some time having a yarn as well as hearing a 'life' story from one or two men.  We will also enjoy a short presentation of interest like someone’s hobby, a hot rod and from time to time a special topic specifically for men such as men's health issues.

Cost is $10 voluntary donation so don't let lack of funds stop you coming.

In addition other activities are organised fo the benefit of all men such as Men's Life Groups, Camps, Courses, Seminars etc.

    How can I get involved?

Helensvale Campus is then able to offer assistance by way of an "Emergency Food Parcel" to those in our community who find themselves unable to provide a meal on the table. Often some "creativity" is required by the recipients but the food is always gratefully received...... Continue Reading »

CrossLife - what's in a name?

Why you should be a member

Some people are happy to just be Christians and not be linked with any church. While this idea is appealing, it is not the teaching of the New Testament. Joining the church wasn't optional in the book of Acts. The new converts were "added to the church" (Acts 2:41-42, 46-47), that is added to the local group of Christians.... Continue Reading »
