As one of our Core Values expresses:

Because God has generously given to us (Ephesians 5:1-2), we will follow Him by having hearts of Increasing Sacrificial Generosity. We will be generous with our time, money, possessions, knowledge and friendships, (Romans 12:13, 1 Thessalonians 2:8, Hebrews 13:16). We will follow the example of the Lord Jesus who liberally gave all that He had for us (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Therefore we will not hold tightly people, money, ministry or things for ourselves but will consciously seek to include others in all God has given to us by generously sharing our resources (1 Timothy 6:17-19). We will aim to plan in faith for what God could do in and through us despite our abilities and resources (2 Corinthians 8:1-4). We look forward with great expectation to what God will do both in our midst and beyond through our growing generosity (Psalm 67).

Matt's Blog

We have consistently reminded both churches that proceeding down this line is about positioning ourselves under God’s leadership and direction to be in the best place to plant more churches around the northern Gold Coast.... "Anxiety"

This emotion is a companion to most of us. At times it can drag a person to the pits of despair and sometimes it can keep us there. I know that I have to deal with it regularly. While this issue can fill books there are probably two broad types of anxiety. Firstly, there is the anxiety of an unknown situation where you are stepping out into unfamiliar territory such as going onto a stage in front of many people or going on a journey into unknown territory. This anxiety is often linked to our flight or fight instincts. Secondly there is our anxiety about everything else. Our relationships, our job, our ability to survive in this world, our home and so on.... Continue Reading »
