Galatians

The big idea of this series, “Living above the Gap”, is,

“We follow the Lord Jesus together to live above the gap in our lives.”

Many Christians today feel the distance between our behaviours, circumstances and the evil influences around us and our hopes, dreams and expectations of God. The strength of our feelings about this gap can leave us living lives that are defined by it.

How do we ‘live above the gap’ and not be defined by it? The Bible answer to this problem is to point us to the wonder of the Lord Jesus and His gospel of grace. Galatians is a wonderful example of the Bible’s teaching on this point.

    Emergency Relief

    The CrossLife - Helensvale Family regularly donate non-perishable foodstuffs into our "Emergency Relief" cupboard. Helensvale Campus is then able to offer assistance by way of an "Emergency Food Parcel" to those in our community who find themselves unable to provide a meal on the table. Often some "creativity" is required by the recipients but the food is always gratefully received...... Continue Reading »

Changing the name of a church was an emotionally charged decision. And once you announce it its not over!! There was some discussion on our new church name "CrossLife - a baptist church" on another FB page this week, and one poster asked "What's the background to your new church name?" Some people are happy to just be Christians and not be linked with any church. While this idea is appealing, it is not the teaching of the New Testament.
